&lt;div&gt;Guild Wars 2 is launching with eight playable professions (basically classes). Each uses a titally unique range of skills and skills much of which you ll find are contingent on which weapon you now have equipped at any 1 time. Each profession has at least one strange little hook to them. Not one of the courses are designated to have a specific role. Basically there are a lot no tanks there are are no healers. All classes have 1 method of maintaining their unique health.&lt;br /&gt;
Additionally all professions have skills that either leave a persistent effect on the earth or can utilize a persistent effect to trigger an additional or different effect.
