[http://www.pegipegi.com/indonesia-international-motorshow/ Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS)] adalah even tahunan yang diselenggarkan oleh GAIKINDO (Gabungan Industri Kendaraan Bermotor Indonesia) dan berlangsung sejak tahun 1986 hingga saat ini. Acara ini bertujuan menjadi wadah bagi para pabrikan otomotif untuk memamerkan kecanggihan teknologi dan produk-produk terbaru mereka kepada publik baik dari dalam maupun luar negeri. Puluhan Agen Pemegang Merk (APM) berpartisipasi di IIMS setiap tahunnya yang menjadikannya salah satu even otomotif internasional besar di dunia.

Pada tahun ini, IIMS memasuki penyelenggaran yang ke-20 dan akan diselenggarakan pada 20-30 September 2012. IIMS 2012 akan menampung stand dari 25 merek kendaraan penumpang dan 8 merek kendaraan niaga. Dengan total 33 brand peserta, pelaksanaan IIMS 2012 tercatat merupakan penyelenggaraan IIMS dengan brand peserta terbanyak dalam tiga tahun terakhir. Dan dengan luas area pameran 70,550 meter persegi, IIMS 2012 digadang-gadang sebagai pameran otomotif terbesar di Asia Pasifik. Bandingkan dengan Bangkok Motor Show 2012 yang hanya menggunakan area seluas 60.000 meter persegi dan Tokyo Motor Show 2011 yang hanya menggunakan area seluas 34.919 meter persegi.

Masih sama dengan penyelenggaraan tahun lalu, IIMS ke-20 tahun ini kembali mengusung tema teknologi ramah lingkungan, Eco-Mobility. Tema Eco-Mobility mewakili gaya hidup masyarakat perkotaan yang baru, mendukung cara cerdas bertransportasi, dan mengurangi ketergantungan terhadap bahan bakar fosil. Semangat yang diangkat adalah semangat untuk memprioritaskan cara hidup yang mengutamakan kegiatan ramah lingkungan serta konservasi energi.
