Many travellers are stuck in a rut when travelling abroad. We tend to view a holiday in 3 parts, they being book the flight, book the hotel and pack the luggage, without ever thinking that 99.9% of other travellers are doing exactly the same thing. So what is the 0.1 % doing that is different? Do they know something the rest of the world doesn't know? The short answer is YES and they are doing things differently, mainly from many years of travel experience they have under their belt. They don't book hotels, instead they book a villa.

A holiday can mean travelling to a place that you are not familiar with and will also give you that space to take in its surroundings. Seasoned travellers know this and a hotel for them, simply means living in a building with 100's of strangers. Fighting every morning to get a sunbed, a breakfast that hasn't been coughed on or waiting in line for something, simply does not appeal to experienced travellers.

Getting a villa for a holiday is now quite simple and price wise, becoming cost effective with hotels for larger groups. Some people like luxury and privacy which is another plus for villas as they can offer just that, which results in a more memorable holiday, specially if your in Thailand and have such a wide variety of flora, fauna and culture.
