New page

iPhone 5 might have a larger screen, 4G compatibility, a larger battery and IOS6 [http://www.iphone5reviewed.com/iPhone5releasedate.html iPhone 5 release date]
Though Apple released the 4S with much fanfare, it was pretty obvious that millions were disappointed with what the iPhone 4S had to offer. Actually, the 4S was exactly the same as the previous generation iPhone 4, in physical and design specs. If not for the faster dual core new A5 processor chip and the intelligent virtual assistant in Siri, the Apple iPhone 4 and the iPhone 4S would have essentially been the same exact phone. Even though the 4S has been selling like hot cakes, there are thousands or even millions of iPhone fanatics who are waiting on the release of the iPhone 5, that should hopefully come out in June or Fall of 2012. In the following sections, we will discuss the probable specs that might be included in the iPhone 5 and will also lightly touch upon the release date of the iPhone 5, due to be released in 2012. [http://www.iphone5reviewed.com iPhone 5 news]

iPhone 5 Specs

iPhone 5 4G

It is now the 4G generation. 4G LTE speeds can produce some insane download speeds of up to 30 Mega Bits per second, which makes 3G look like a sloth crossing a road. Considering the truth that 4G has taken off quite amazingly, in terms of popularity, Apple would be making a huge blunder if the iPhone 5 does not include 4G LTE support. Steve Jobs has actually made public statements to the press that he is concerned about the use of large screens on Apple devices as they will result in a compromise on battery life. According to Jobs, the only solution would be to increase the size of the battery although that will require design modifications that are just not feasible, considering that Apple makes some of the most stylish electronic gadgets.

Another important problem that might prevent the iPhone 5 from getting a bigger screen is that a larger screen might not allow Apple Inc. to incorporate it's high quality retina display resolution on a larger screen. If the screen is going to be bigger than 3.5 inches, it would obviously be difficult to stack up the same amount of pixel density, thereby compromising the quality of the screen's resolution. There have also been rumors that seemed to suggest that Apple just could not figure out a way to retain the quality of the retina display resolution on a display that was bigger than 3.5 inches, hinting that Apple might keep the display size of the next generation iPhone at just 3.5 inches, instead of increasing it to 4 or 4.3 inches.

When in 2012 will the iPhone 5 be released?

Apple has always remained secretive about release dates for its products. Due to this, we can only take a wild guess at the highly anticipated release date or launch date for the next iPhone. There are thousands of people who are waiting to buy the iPhone 5 in just a few months time, sometime in the summer of 2012. However, the Summer release date is usually reserved for the iPad launches. With many rumors stating that the iPad 3 has entered production stage, it is very likely that the iPhone 5 will not be released in the summer of 2012, along with the launch of the next generation iPad.

Quite recently, we read some pretty interesting rumors or assumptions that suggested that the next iPhone will be released on the first death anniversary of Steve Jobs, who passed on on the 5th of October, 2011. We definitely feel that the 5th of October, 2012 is a real probability as Apple usually reserves their big gadget release for the fall (October) month, just in time to allow for enough holiday season shopping.

Other interesting specs that might be included in the iPhone 5

While most people are usually interested in whether or not the iPhone 5 will have a larger display and also come with LTE support, there are many others who are more interested in the processor speed and OS upgrade as well. There has been some wild guessing where many people are expecting that a quad core A6 processor will be the new heart of the iPhone 5, which should also feature a brand new operating system in the form of IOS6. Though these sensational rumors about a exciting new quad core processor sound very interesting, we think that the next generation iPhone will keep the same A5 processor that was used in the iPhone 4S. If anything, just the RAM might be increased to 1GB, instead of the 512 MB that is currently featured in the iPhone 4S.

Honestly, we think that a quad core processor is overkill for a cell phone. So, in all likelihood, the next generation iPhone will get the same A5 processor that has been used in the Apple iPhone 4S. Although the iPhone 5's processor might remain the same as the one used in the 4S, we think that the OS will be updated to IOS6 that will be able to handle extra capabilities such as NFC, 3D camera capture mode, panoramic camera mode, facial unlocking and wireless data exchange between Apple devices and iPhones.
