The understory comes after the upper canopy and comprises of trees that are 60 ft . tall and this level of the tropical rainforest always remains within the  shade. The last one of the tropical rainforest layers will be the forest floor which  usually stays in full shade. This scantily lit level of tropical  rainforest have few growth of tropical rainforest trees like herbs and shrubbery. This level of the  woodland includes a pretty narrow covering of rotting organic  matter which can be quickly broken down by worms, termites and fungi.
