New page

[http://lambchoprecipes.posterous.com/ lamb chop recipes] - This recipe for roast lamb chops is actually an idea or a guideline and not necessarily a recipe as such. It is a rustic family meal that has been probably cooked by many Mama s in outdoor wood ovens in the southern regions of Italy using ingredients they happened to possess available. For those who have a wood oven go ahead and use it, otherwise for the rest of us, these roast lamb chops will be just as good making use of your regular kitchen oven.

[http://lambchoprecipes.weebly.com/ how to cook lamb chops] - You can make this dish every bit as simply whether it be dinner for two main or dinner for any whole crowd. Also, you never necessarily need to take lamb - test it with chicken, turkey and even goat pieces. And, use about of the of the ingredients to suit your own taste. Trying out your meals are half the enjoyment.

Our favourite is using lamb chops because they cook to tender perfection.

INGREDIENTS: (for 4 people)

8 lamb chops
12 -16 small whole potatoes or, a couple of large potatoes cut into wedges
6 cloves of garlic, whole or you can chop them roughly
Rosemary and oregano
Salt and pepper to taste
A a little white wine and water - most a mug of each simply to keep the base moist
Four-six chopped fresh tomatoes or about 1 cup bottled tomato puree (try not to add a lot of, sufficient to include a little colour and flavour)
A handful of grated pecorino cheese
A little handful of dry breadcrumbs

HERE S The way to ASSEMBLE:

Roughly layer the lamb chops using the potatoes.
Poke the garlic cloves involving the lamb and potatoes.
Sprinkle with fresh or dried rosemary and oregano, salt and pepper.
Pour wine and water down one side so they won t wash off the seasoning.
Scatter chopped tomatoes or tomato puree over lamb and potatoes.
Finish with a couple of grated pecorino cheese sprinkled over.
Scatter with breadcrumbs to soak up any excess liquid.

Cover baking dish with foil and bake for around one hour at 200 Celcius. Remove foil throughout the cooking time and bake until things are tender, probably another hour.

And that s about as fundamental as it gets.

[http://lambchoprecipes.webnode.com/ cook lamb chops] - Served having a glass of Chianti plus some rustic Italian style bread and perhaps a natural salad or some lightly steamed vegetables, it s simply delicious.
