<h2>Arrested Development Season 1</h2>

Arrested development opened up to a lukewarm reception from the audience when it launched on Fox at November 2, 2003 and the season ended June 6, 2004. <strong>Arrested Development Season 1</strong> contained 22 shows all of them about 22 minutes long.

The lukewarm reception of the audience continued but <strong>Arrested Development Season 1</strong> recieved 7 Emmy Nominations and won 5 of them. Among the wins were Outstanding Comedy Series and Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series. Funny man Jeffrey Tambor, was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. Arrested Development Season 1 was later released on DVD, on October 19, 2004.

Arrested Developmentís storyline focuses on the Bluth family. The family once was wealthy but has become horribly dysfunctional. Hand-held cameras are widely-used throughout the series in addition to narration, archive photos and historical videos.

<strong>Plot of Arrested Development Season 1</strong>

The head of the Bluth Family, George Bluth Senior, is the person that founded and is now CEO of the Bluth Company that makes rather poor mini-mansions. The only smart son, Michael, should be next in line to become CEO but is one more time passed over at his fathers retirement party. The mom Lucille, is instead made CEO of the company. Michael has had more than enough for his family and makes the decision to leave the family, a choice that is reaffirmed when his mother names Buster, the youngest and very immature son, the manager. Before Michael has time to leave though, the Securities and Exchange Commission comes to the scene and arrests George Senior for fraud.

Michael is furious in the development (Arrested Develpment one might sayÖ) so he accepts a new job with a rival hosing company, the Sitwell Housingcompany. The family realizes that they canít run the company without Michael and begs him to come back be the CEO of the Bluth Company once more. Michael remains outraged and doesnít want to stay, until he sees how much the family cares about his son George Michael. As Michael wants the household to stay together, he asks his sister Lindsay, her closet homosexual husband Tobias (a Never Nude, meaning he never takes all his clothes off, he showers in cut off jeans) along with their daughter Maeby to move in to the model house with him with his fantastic son.

<h2>The remainder of Arrested Development Season 1</h2>

The characters fight to change their identities. Buster tries to finally get rid of his over bearing mother Lucille by being more with his brothers and with his love interest Lucille Austero (also called Lucille 2), Lucille Bluthís neighbour and main social rival. George Michael has a pretty serious crush on his cousin Maeby and attempts to kiss her during the entire season and even the rest of the series. He also tries his best to become a good son to Michael and often he tries a little too hard, forgetting to be a child. Tobias who was simply a psychiatrist (or as he refers to during one episode, ìan Analrapist, a variety of Analyst and Therapistî) but lost his licens following an unfortunate attempt to resuscitate a sleeping man and instead decides to become an actor. He seeks the aid of Carl Weather to satisfy his dream but only manages to make a fool of himself, just as before.

Michael becomes crazy about the girlfriend of his brother Gob, Marta, who treats her bad every day. He doesn't know how to choose between the beautiful Marta and putting family first. The brothers starts to fight when Gob understands Michael is in love with his girlfriend and after having seen the brothers fight Marta decides to break up with them both given that they donít share the identical family values. In an attempt to make Buster jealous, Lucille (1) adopts a Korean son that she ìorderedî when angry 1 day. She mistakenly calls him ìAnnyongî, the Korean word for ìHelloî since she thinks thatís his name. Gob marries a lady he just met following a series of escalating dares but canít get an annulment since he wonít admit they didnít consumate the marriage

Kitty, George Sr.'s former assistant and lover, blackmails the business with little success. When Gob does a magic trick and sinks the family luxury boat, Kitty is trapped in the explosion and survives with a cooler of evidence labled ìH Maddasî. George Senior tries to escape from prison, where he discovered Judaism, most of Arrested Development Season 1 and finally succeeds by faking heart disease. George tells his son Michael in Arrested Development Season 1 that maybe, just maybe, he committed ìlight treasonî when he sold mini-palaces to Saddam Hussein in Iraq.
