It has always been a tradition to do the Christian Matrimony in the churches to be more solemn and followed by lots of fun and enjoyment. Similar to other cultures, Christian matrimony is divided into parts, including, the pre wedding, wedding and post wedding customs and traditions. The wedding customs and traditions within this community to differ from country to country because of the fact that the people in the Christian community can come from different places all over the world.

There is a bridal shower which the people organized and is dedicated to the Christian bride. It is held during the pre- wedding ritual and is full of joy, fun and laughter. This celebration is filled with so many female friends and cousins of the bride where they get together and indulge in lot of dancing, music and fun. The party can also be filled with so many fun games. Lots of gifts and blessings are given to the Christian bride-to-be from her family, relatives and friends in order to have a happy and blissful married life. It has been a tradition for the bride to serve a pink cake to all her guests during the occasion. People are used to having this unique custom of putting a thimble inside the cake then whoever gets the piece of cake with this hidden thimble is believed to be the next in line of getting married.

Another most awaited thing in a Christian matrimonial is the wedding dress worn by the Christian bride. Most commonly, the bride wears a white wedding gown which can be simple or highly embellish and a netted one. There is a white veil to be worn on her head and she wears a tiara on her head. It may be diamond studded or can be made up of a bunch of flowers. Whatever she chooses, the bride always would look great. The bride will be holding a bouquet of flowers. After the wedding, the bride will throw to the bouquet to those female single guests. To the one who will catch the bouquet, it has been traditionally believed that she is the next girl to be married. Another unique feature is the trail of the gown. The trails can vary depending on the extent of marriage; those magnificent marriages have quite long trails while some can be small and sober. Indeed, the beauty of the Christian bride will be emphasized more with this entire ensemble.

On the other hand, the groom usually wears a formal suit that is black or navy blue in color. An informal party where the host of the party is the groom himself is also being celebrated. This time it is called a bachelor's party. Of course this is held before the wedding since it is a celebration of the groom’s last night of being single. This pre wedding bash is so much fun and enjoyed by the groom and his friends. There will be toasts raised for the groom.
