Just in case you are not sure of it, it is approximately a professor from Carnegie Mellon who gives a lecture to his university after he learns he has terminal cancer. He wanted this lecture to pay attention to living, not dying, so he turned it in to a sort of "how to call home your life" theme.

Since Pausch was an educator, he loved the idea of "the head fake". He described the "head fake" as a possible educational objective which is "indirectly learned" or even "hidden" until the end. It is a thing that is taught however, not realized until someone is well to the process.
