Do Animal's Spirits Stay Behind

Animals for a lot of people hold a special devote our way of life and hearts. This was the situation for our dog, Crystal, who unfortunately passed on Monday, May 3rd 2010. She had developed a cancerous tumor in her mouth in September of 2009. Since September, my loved ones and I knew that we might be confronted with having to make the decision to put her to sleep. The week before, we felt it was the best decision to make. She'd been full of energy up to Monday, but i was concerned that the tumor may spread into the back of her throat, reducing vital oxygen. Afterwards, I had been sitting with my Mom, and she inquired about "Do you believe a part of her will stay?" meaning her spirit. I immediately answered without hesitation "Yes. I do."

I know that every animal lover who believes in the information on spirits will agree with me. Animals develop their very own personality, and be part of the family. The normal scene in movies and commercials of the loyal dog waiting patiently in the door that you should come home, riding in the passenger seat of the car or truck using their head within the wind, and coming in your living space each morning to wake you up may all be cliche, but they're all true.

Crystal developed her own personality, and her unique habits. She always laid within our yard on sunshine, and made it her passion to chase the kitty across the street as he strayed into the backyard. My dad could not get a drive anywhere without Crystal bounding up the stairs blocking the door until he grabbed her leash. Even though she might not physically be around anymore, I understand that her spirit will visit whenever the neighbors cat is in our yard, when my father goes for a drive, in order to lay in our yard on sunshine. Even speaking with our animals which have passed on can bring their spirit nearer to us.

Probably the most common things I have heard others say about losing a pet, is "It requires a while to obtain accustomed to them not being there. You walk in thinking they will be there, and then you realize that it really happened. They are not there anymore." I finally understood what others had meant with that Tuesday morning. I was expecting to see Crystal laying in our yard under the sun. I started to consider, "What if she is really there, and i'm sensing her." Honestly, In my opinion that is what it was. I had been sensing her. You would have it crazy in my experience that they wouldn't check us out.

When others believe they expect their pets to become there, I'd be prepared to bet their animal is still there watching over them, making sure that their loved ones is okay. Once they know their family is ok, In my opinion they move on. This is the point in time when I believe families adapt to and actually know the fact their animal has passed on, since their spirit is not there as often anymore given that they know their loved ones is okay. However, they will always visit time to time to say hi and sit within their favorite spots.
